dreamscapes
In this evocative section of my portfolio, the boundaries of reality blur, and the fantastical and the mundane entwine in an intricate dance. This collection is a testament to the alchemy of my creative spirit, where each piece is a brushstroke of imagination, a manifestation of ethereal dreams, and a celebration of life's intricate tapestry.
“we see her where we see her, which is everywhere”
This piece of art is 30x40 inches using acrylic paint and sewn beads. It shows several women dancing freely around a bonfire, as a node to the ancient female tradition of ecstatic dancing under the full moon. I have attended these gatherings for the past few months and was incredibly inspired by the spiritual and emotional impact they have on those involved. In the sky, there are faint letters depicting words spoken by women at the gatherings, my own thoughts, and passages from “Women Who Run With Wolves” by Clarissa Pinkola Estés. There are also faint and wispy feminine figures amongst the clouds that represent the women of the past who have also participated in this tradition. I hope this piece inspires the viewer to dance, to gather, to notice, and to surrender themselves to movement at least once in their lives.

“from the morning” lyric video
I am always trying to reach outside of the box with my art. In this video, I painted a series of watercolors inspired by my favorite song. I then filmed a stop motion video illustrating the lyrics as they are sung. This video captures my love for the simple pleasures of life and art.
