This painting was commissioned by a fellow artist, Camille Ruz, to be the album cover for her single titled “wreath.” This piece was inspired by the soft and feminine nature of the song, but specifically the lyric,

“she’s the tear on my butterfly wreath, beloved child, I lull this elegy”
